Going to a supermarket to look for Twiglets part 2

Sainsbury's, one of the small ones, by Waterloo station on Waterloo Bridge road, London. Not pricey. Nice.

Price check SHOCK

£1.42 for a bag of Twiglets in Somerfield, Berwick street in London's Soho... In comparison to 90p and 91p in Tesco and Sainsbury's respectively. That's a 64% difference in price i.e. rather a bloody lot. As you can see, I still bought two bags. Twiglets are a scarce resource and if your next stop's the airport you can be pretty darned sure you won't be hitting on another source before you fly. There are no Twiglets at Gatwick airport.

One year. One pence

Tesco on the left, Sainsbury's on the right, both with shelves stuffed with Twiglets. Photos taken one year apart and just 1p is the difference. 90p at Tesco, 91p at Sainsbury's. I'd wager Twiglets are more than holding their own what with the rate of inflation in other sectors. Good news all round.

Twiglet watching

In the wild they look quite unassuming. Spotted at Gatwick airport, London, UK.
