$5.50 bag Manhattan score
Over on Chowhound, fellow expat Twiglets head ballulah hunts down a bag of the brown stuff in deepest Manhattan,
I headed straight to Myers of Keswick on Monday night and made it just before closing. They had them alright, but they weren't cheap: $5.50 a bag (150 g). The little shop next to Tea & Sympathy usually carries them, but they have been sold out everytime I've gone recently.
A search through the Chowhound lardbanks reveals the Twiglets yearners. the latest price check in the UK, courtesy of Sainsbury's and my trusted camera, 91 whole new pence.
Interesting: Twiglets are hard to get here in Edmonton Alberta Canada, one store has them periodically, but they seems to get snatched up pretty quickly. So my sister was coming over the the UK, and she brought some. Yum... funny thing though: the package says "imported by..." and lists a company in Australia, and she lives in Portsmouth. I have asked the good folks at Jacob's to explain, but it sort of looks like she bought Twiglets made in the UK, that were exported to Australia and imported back to the UK.
So much for carbon neutrality.

My exact same thoughts and my last four scores all came from the UK, but like you came via Australia - at least according to the packaging

Hmmm...??? Made in the UK, exported to Australia and then re-imported to the UK. This is worth looking into...
